On Tuesday’s episode of Love Island USA, fans criticised Rob for his interaction with Leah that left them both in tears, calling him “childish” and “embarrassing”.
Rob and Leah have an emotional conversation that means the end of their relationship.
Tuesday’s episode of Love Island USA focused on bombshell Andrea’s date with Rob. Leah learned that Rob and Andrea had kissed, first from Andrea and then from Rob. She had a brief conversation with Rob afterward, in which he complimented her on being “cool” with the situation and told her that he wanted to continue with Andrea, but also with Leah.
After the girls pushed Leah to tell Rob how she really feels, she pulled him out of his conversation with Andrea. Leah first told him how mean it was that they couldn’t finish talking and he was up there talking to Andrea for a long time. Rob tried to reassure Leah that he wasn’t ready to leave her but he sees something between Andrea. Lea replied that she doesn’t want her feelings to get hurt and Rob retorted that someone’s feelings would get hurt, which made Leah angry.

They exchange more words. Then the topic of trust came up when Rob said he felt like Leah didn’t trust him and Leah said she never said that. Rob mentioned the one time she called him a cheater and Leah said that was a “joke.” Rob was visibly frustrated and upset and let Leah know he was upset. He continued to walk and sob while Leah stayed where she was.
In the confessional, Rob said he had been honest but she didn’t trust him. He continued by saying she felt invisible and it didn’t matter what he said because they kept going around in circles. He felt like he was hurting her and there was nothing he could do. He felt like she didn’t believe him.
Rob came back and they started chatting again. Leah started by saying that it wasn’t her intention to hurt his feelings or make him feel bad. Rob then lashed out and said, “Just ask me how I feel,” which she did. He said that he really likes her and that she’s an “amazing woman,” but that he doesn’t know if she’s the right one for him.
Leah asked for clarification, to which he repeated the same thing. This prompted him to continue talking about his feelings as they were “talking things out.” He exclaimed that she wasn’t listening to him and interrupted him, which hurt his feelings. He said she was “gorgeous” and “sexy as f***,” but “they don’t have a groove.”
She admitted that he was entitled to feel the way he felt and that “there’s nothing wrong with that.” Rob then said he needed some time to process it. Leah asked for a hug, they hugged briefly before Rob ran off and took off his shirt and wires. He jumped into the pool.
Fans were not happy with Rob and his behavior around Leah, especially his crying. They thought he was “childish” and “embarrassing” and felt sorry for Leah for doing that to her. One X/Twitter fan said: “Rob’s tears were straight out of Tom Sandoval’s Fake Crying Manipulation School manual. Embarrassing.” A second fan said: “Rob is so damn childish. I can’t believe I thought he was a good man.” Another said: “Rob doesn’t make the whole argument with Leah about himself. It’s like, ‘I’m such a victim because she’s mad at me.’ Sir, she’s reacting to your behavior.”
A fourth fan said: “Why are you all defending Rob now? Didn’t we just see how he manipulated and destroyed Leah?? He’s not wrong to want to explore other options but he went about it 100% wrong.
Leah gets emotional in her confession, wondering how they got there and wishing she hadn’t heard what Rob said tonight. She explained that she felt “heartbroken and sick.” She chats with Serena and reflects on the conversation where she wonders why he chose her over Liz and why he would be intimate with her if he didn’t like her. She wasn’t sure if they would work it out.
The two have another conversation where they seem to have somewhat reconciled. Rob tells Leah that he forgives her and is not mad, just hurt. He also agrees that he shouldn’t have said anything about their sexual chemistry. He tells Leah again that he likes her, but also likes Andrea and needs to go through with it. During the reunion, Rob makes his decision by standing up for Andrea, and she chooses him.
