On Wednesday, June 26, the book launch of “The Oracle: Portraits of Rebbe Mendel Schneerson” will take place at Congregation B’nai Avraham in Brooklyn Heights.
The event will feature lectures by former New York Attorney General and Bronx Borough President, whose essay on the Rebbe appears alongside fifty reflections in the new book, and documentary photographer Marc Asnin.
The illustrated book “The Oracle” is the first of its kind and tells the story of the Rebbe and Chabad through photos and observations.
“The Lubavitcher Rebbe was the most influential figure in world Jewry in the 20th century,” Mr. Abrams wrote in The Oracle. “His vision and charismatic power inspired thousands of his followers to settle in cities and towns around the world. They, in turn, have inspired countless Jews to pursue Jewish values, observe Jewish rituals and appreciate their rich Jewish heritage.”
Following the lectures there will be a book signing session.
