An autopsy report from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office, obtained by diversityconfirmed the cause of death of the 66-year-old on Tuesday, June 18.

Priem, who had worked a 14-hour shift on the set of the ABC series immediately before the incident, died on May 11 when his Toyota Highlander veered off a Los Angeles freeway and flipped onto its roof.
