Trump says Apprentice brought him good ratings and thus excuses his terrible behavior

Donald Trump

“The Apprenticeship” taught me a lesson…

Good reviews excuse mean, rude behavior!!!

Donald Trump says he learned that people could get away with despicable behavior as long as they had good ratings, like he did on “The Apprentice” … according to a sensational book.

The former president made these claims in an interview with the co-editor-in-chief of Variety. Ramin Setoodeh for “The Apprentice in Wonderland: How Donald Trump and Mark Burnett Led America Through the Looking Glass,” which was released on Tuesday.

We’ve already told you a little about the new book… but as a refresher: DJT has given several interviews to Setoodeh and the portrayal of the 45-year-old as a lonely, sometimes quirky ex-TV star is not flattering.

In any case…Setoodeh says Trump reflected on his most important lesson from “The Apprentice” when he said, “It’s all about one thing: ratings. If you have ratings, you can be the meanest, most horrible person in the world.”

A pretty cynical look at Hollywood… but it sums up The Apprentice in a nutshell – the show that many watched just to see who Trump would fire week after week.

Moreover, Trump has made similar claims with similar aims before – remember, he once said that women would “grab her by the pussy” as long as they are famous.

Donald’s team does not deny his comments in the book – although they said Trump could barely remember any contact with him and claimed he was a “loser” who focused too much on the Republican candidate.

Trump’s comments on “The Apprentice” are pretty tame when compared to other quotes from the book… including a part where he Taylor Swift “unusually beautiful”– totally they objectify.

As I said, the book is out now… and we’ll see if the good ratings have any effect on Donald.
