Kaden Strayhorn, 3-star offensive player, commits to Michigan Football

Hours after signing a four-star running back for the Class of 2025, Michigan football received a commitment to play ahead of him when three-star offensive lineman Kaden Strayhorn announced his commitment to the Wolverines via social media on Sunday afternoon.

“I’m coming home! #GoBlue,” Strayhorn posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday.

Strayhorn, the son of former Michigan State star (and current radio analyst) Jason Strayhorn, spent last season at Novi Detroit Catholic Central and will spend the 2024 season at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida – along with four-star recruit Donovan Johnson, who signed with the Wolverines early Sunday.

Strayhorn is 6’3″ and 295 pounds. He is the 28th best offensive lineman in the country and the 58th best player in the state of Florida according to 247 Sports’ overall rankings.

Strayhorn chose the Wolverines despite offers from numerous SEC and Big Ten schools, including Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Ohio State and Texas. He is the second offensive lineman to commit to UM, following Birmingham Groves tackle Avery Gach in early May. With Strayhorn’s commitment, Michigan’s class of 2025 grows to 10 players, including four four-stars; 247 Sports had ranked UM’s class at No. 33rd before Strayhorn’s signing.
