Dave Grohl played a concert in London on the same day as Taylor Swift‘S Epoch Toura fact that the frontman of the Foo Fighters was well aware of.

“I know we were joking earlier about the Taylor Swift tour. I know she’s on her Epoch Tour,” Grohl, 55, said during the Foo Fighters’ show at the London Stadium on Saturday, June 22, before the crowd began booing. “I’m telling you, man, you don’t want to suffer the wrath of Taylor Swift.”

He continued, “That’s why we like to call our tour ‘The Errors Tour’ because I feel like we’ve been through more than a few eras and more than a few damn mistakes too.”

Swift, 34, kicked her out Epoch Tour in March 2023 to celebrate all their previous albums, from the self-titled album in 2003 Taylor Swift until April 2024 The “Tortured Poets” section. Swift is also currently touring the UK, playing a series of shows at London’s Wembley Stadium this weekend before heading to Ireland. During her tour, Swift and her fans have also jokingly called Eras the “error tour” when unexpected errors have been made.

Since kicking off her Eras Tour in March, Swift has blown away fans and critics alike with her impressive, record-breaking concert, which lasted over three and a half hours and saw the singer perform a setlist of 44 (…).

According to Grohl, his band makes a lot of mistakes “because they play live.”

“What? (I’m) just saying,” he added on Saturday. “We’re a live band. You like live rock’n’roll, right?” The crowd cheered enthusiastically as Grohl added that these attendees were “in the right damn place.”

We weekly has reached out to representatives for Swift and Grohl for comment.

Swift has not publicly commented on Grohl’s comments, but randomly lashed out at the haters during her concert on Saturday.

“When you think about (playing eight shows at Wembley), you think about just being thankful for all the people that wanted this for you – and that’s everyone who’s here tonight,” Swift said during her acoustic set. “You obviously thought this was a good idea (and) you wanted this to happen. That blows my mind. I’m going to spend forever thanking you for this, but on the other hand, it really makes me think that every time someone talks shit, I just work harder and get even tougher.”

Swift noted that she was also “incredibly grateful” to her haters before launching into a mashup of “ThanK you aIMee” and “Mean,” both songs about dealing with bullies. Swift later sang “Castles Crumbling,” a duet with Paramore’s Hayley Williamsduring the acoustic set, which was a Speak Now Tresor track about the loss of popularity.

Some Swifties have been luckier than others when it comes to Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour surprise set. Since kicking off her record-breaking tour in March 2023, Swift has used the penultimate portion of her show to play songs from across her discography that aren’t included in the concert’s extensive setlist. Long before Grohl’s apparent accusation, Swift made it clear that she, her backing singers and her band were live, as she stopped at several points in the middle of the song, Eras shows whenever she noticed fans needed help.

“This is such an incredible crowd (and) we have so many different people who have planned to be with us tonight. … We need some help at the end of the ramp,” Swift said during her Friday concert at Wembley. “(I’m) just going to wait until I see that sorted out.”

She added: “You are the best. See how fast that went? Here at Wembley, they really look after you – and they should.”

Long before the two musicians became enemies in London, they were once friends, and Swift helped Grohl navigate an awkward situation at a party hosted by the Beatles legend. Paul McCartney.

“I wanted to leave early because I had to take my kids to the bus stop at 7 a.m.,” Grohl recalled on The Late Late Show with James Corden in June 2018. “I said to my wife, ‘Okay, 10:30, we’re out then.’ We went on break and at exactly 1:30 the party got really good, so Paul got up and started playing this song on the piano, and it was a new song.”

He added: “It was just incredible to sit in that living room and watch him play the piano. When he finished, everyone turned to me and said, ‘All right, Dave, play a song.'”

Grohl, who can’t play the piano, admittedly was “a little off track” before Swift offered to help.

“At that moment, Taylor Swift comes on the scene and says, ‘I’m going to sing a song.’ She saved my ass (and) gets up and starts playing this song, and it sounds familiar,” he added at the time. “And she played the song ‘Best of You’ by the Foo Fighters.”

He also praised Swift’s re-recording process in an interview with Rolling Stoneand said, “Well, hell yeah, girl. Hell hath no fury. Now I’m scared of it! I’d be such a nerd and get involved in it. I think it’s so much fun.”
