Ameritopia Fest brings singers and bands to Utopia this weekend

Fans of folk, Americana, country music and rock ‘n’ roll should check out the new music festival Ameritopia Fest, which draws crowds to Utopia on June 28 and 29 to see numerous singers and bands perform at the Blue Flame (1334 Main St.).

David Kassai, owner of Blue Flame, said the festival will be a “really fun and relaxed event with some of the best songwriters in Texas.”

On Friday, June 28, known as Songbird Day, dozens of singer/songwriters will perform.

On Saturday, June 29, seven bands will be on stage at the Blue Flame for “Rock & Roll Day”.

Performers include local heroes Sid Fly, Uncle Lucius, Sun Valley Station, Statesboro Revue, Topo Chico Cowboys, Colton James & Company and more.

On June 28th, the music starts at noon and goes until midnight with sets from various musicians.

On June 29, the bands start playing at 1:30 p.m. Three bands play one-hour sets, then the last four play for 1.5 hours or more, and the last band takes the stage at 10:30 p.m.

There will also be vendors at the event offering various goods.

Single-day passes are $54, two-day passes are $95.45, and parking is $11 per day. VIP all-access passes are $322 and include access to the backstage area and a VIP catering area.

Car camping passes cost $86, and RV camping passes cost $134 for two-night stays.

The Texas Hill Country River Region supports the event as a sponsor.
