Michigan State wide receiver Nick Marsh talks about quarterback Aidan Chiles

There was great excitement at Spartan Stadium when Michigan State fans caught a glimpse of the young quarterback-wide receiver duo Aidan Chiles and Nick Marsh at the Spring Showcase in April.

What makes this duo special is their chemistry as teammates and friends both on and off the field. Both players have tremendous respect for each other and that kind of support will only make each of them better.

Marsh admires how Chiles treats all of his teammates, which he explained when he and his mother, Yolanda Wilson (also known as “MamaTron”), recently appeared on “The Spiro Avenue Show.”

“He (Chiles) has everybody under control, man,” the first-year wide receiver said. “How can I explain Aidan? He’s just a ball of energy. He comes over, just runs down the field and hits us, he always has a smile on his face, I think that cheers the team up a little bit more. Even when we’re getting in shape, he’s still smiling. I think that rubs off on everyone else during these tough times, and I think he’s going to be a great quarterback. Just his ability, in the pocket, in the run game, he’s nice. I don’t think I’ve ever had a quarterback that good in my entire career. A different level.”

Marsh also discussed Chile’s approach to leadership.

“I mean, it’s just that demeanor,” he said. “He doesn’t have to shout, he doesn’t have to be controlling, it’s just his attitude and his mindset. He takes a lot of people and just leads them like that. So he’s not the shouting leader type.”

Marsh and Chiles are both entering their first seasons with the Spartans. Marsh, of course, will be playing his first collegiate season, while Chiles will be playing his second after spending his first under Michigan State coach Jonathan Smith at Oregon State.

These two could be the future of Michigan State’s offense, and it’s important that they have already built a strong bond at this early stage of their careers as Spartans.

The future of the Michigan State football team could look bright with Marsh and Chiles as the leaders in the passing game.
