With towering rock formations and sprawling sand dunes, AlUlas Surreal landscapes become the muse for Norah Alsuairy’s AI-generated Series. The digital artist’s renderings merge sport, nature and technology and nestle basketball Dishes amidst sandstone canyons in the desert of Saudi Arabiailluminated by natural light seeping through their openings.

Inspired by AlUla’s scenic views and her passion for basketball, Alsuairy envisioned a court that blends into its natural surroundings. The rugged contours of the mountains provide a dramatic backdrop against which players can enjoy a game surrounded by nature, while their earthy hues blend with the surface of the courts.

“This project embodies my passion for sport and my love for the stunning surroundings of AlUla, brought to life with the power of artificial intelligence,” Notes by Norah Alsuairy. The Artist transforms the huge geologies into equally monumental recreational spaces.

Using artificial intelligence-based design tools, Alsuairy created several design iterations, each refining the basketball court’s integration into the natural landscape. The final designs are the result of countless simulations and adjustments that ensure that the imagined compositions not only meet functional requirements but also enhance the visual, sensory and emotional experience of the spaces.
