Denise Nolan is getting married! Nolan’s singer finally marries her fiancé Tom Anderson after his Parkinson’s diagnosis 30 years later in an emotional ceremony with her sisters by her side

Denise Nolan has tied the knot with her fiancé Tom Anderson after three decades of engagement and 47 years together.

The 72-year-old Nolans singer finally walked down the aisle with her 77-year-old long-term partner on Blackpool’s famous promenade on Monday, surrounded by her sisters.

The couple met in 1977 when Denise was singing with The Nolans and Tom was drumming at the London Rooms in the West End. He later played in her band when she began her solo career.

He proposed to the star back in the ’90s, but the couple didn’t feel the need to set a date until Tom was diagnosed with Parkinson’s six years ago and they decided it was time to make things official.

Denise was accompanied on this big day by her sisters Linda (65), Coleen (59), Anne (73) and Maureen (70). The ceremony also remembered her late sister Bernie, who died in 2013 at the age of 52.

And during the reception, the sisters came together again to perform together, including their original dance routines.

And her sister Linda made an extremely generous gesture to the happy couple after moving in with them a year ago despite her battle with cancer.

In 2005, she was diagnosed with terminal breast cancer before being exonerated in 2006. Unfortunately, the disease returned in 2017 and then spread to her liver and brain.

After Denise supported her so well during her treatment, she decided to help with the costs of her and Tom’s wedding as a thank you.

When she told OK! about the big day, she gushed: “It was such an emotional experience for all of us, it felt like a fairytale come true. As I watched Denise walk down the aisle and thought of all the years of love, trials and triumphs she and Tom had shared, I started to cry.

“We have been through so much together and being there with my sisters celebrating such a wonderful union made me deeply grateful for the bond that we share.”Given everything that has happened in my life, moments like this become even more precious.

BWe have always supported each other, but that day the joy and love were in the air. It was a day filled with laughter, tears and memories I will cherish forever. Life is unpredictable and often hard, but moments like this, surrounded by the people we love, make it all worthwhile.’

Instead of a traditional white wedding dress, Denise opted for a long yellow sequined dress, paired with a sparkly navy blazer and matching fascinator.

Her brother Brian walked her down the aisle as her own cover of Frank Sinatra’s “You, My Love You” played, and she and Tom exchanged rings inscribed with “I love you” before walking back to Tom’s rendition of Frank Sinatra’s “Love Will Keep Us Together.”

During the speeches, Denise gave a special reading for Tom, including the quote, “The day I met you, I found my missing piece. Meeting you was destiny, becoming your partner was a choice, but falling in love with you was beyond my control.”
