Fans of The Voice notice surprising detail in the trailer for season 13: “New twist”

Channel Seven has released a brand new teaser trailer for the upcoming thirteenth season of The Voice Australia will premiere next month. The new season, which is described as “the most compelling season of The voice In “Singing to Date”, long-time coach Guy Sebastian and newcomers LeAnn Rimes, Kate Miller-Heidke and Adam Lambert will be searching for Australia’s next singing sensation.

The promo video features a diverse cast of hopeful contestants singing their hearts out on stage, with one duo wowing the crowd with their rendition of “Wonderful” by Tones and I. The coaches are all shocked at the caliber of talent before hitting their red buttons and turning over their iconic chairs.

“You just ate the song alive,” Adam tells one contestant, followed by Guy, who says, “I’ve never seen anything like it.”

“You have a gift,” Kate remarks.

In one scene, LeAnn is also seen wiping tears from a person’s eyes after a performance and telling them, “I got goosebumps as soon as you opened your mouth.”

“With that vote, you have brought the nation to a standstill,” Guy adds.

After the trailer was released, a fan pointed out in the comments what appears to be a “new twist” in Season 13. In addition to the three small buttons below the iconic red button, which are likely “block” buttons, there is a large white button at the top of the panel.

“What is that big button behind the red button?” they asked.

The voice often introduces new elements to the show each season, with the “Block” feature added in Season 9 and updated last year so that it can be used before a coach even turns their chair. Season 11 also introduced a “Battle Pass” where coaches can press a silver button to send a performer straight to the Battle Rounds, though this was removed the following year.

Viewers also flooded in with comments and were excited about the new line-up of coaches, especially Adam Lambert, who previously appeared on Australian television as a judge on The x factor in 2016.

“Great to see Adam back as a judge in Australia!” one person wrote, while another added: “Can’t wait! Total team Adam Lambert.”

“This is going to be so good! Adam Lambert is such a compassionate and supportive judge,” shared a third.

“I’m excited to watch this,” someone else shared, followed by another user who said, “God I’m excited.”

“I can’t wait to watch this! But miss Jess (Mauboy) and Rita (Ora),” noted another.
