Yankees and NY Mets announce their lineups for the Subway Series on Tuesday

play

It will be the third meeting of the 2024 Subway Series, with the Yankees hosting the Mets for a two-game series beginning Tuesday night at Yankee Stadium.

The Mets dominated the first two games, winning both meetings at Citi Field nearly a month ago.

This time, it’s the Yankees’ turn to enjoy home-field advantage as they look to turn things around after a four-game tie with the Rays and a series win over the Orioles before the All-Star break.

Before that, the Bronx Bombers played their worst baseball of the season to that point, finishing just one game in June with a record above .500 (14-13) after an unreal month in May in which they finished with a record of 21-7.

After a slow start to their 2024 season, the Mets have rebounded nicely, winning or splitting every series this month. They haven’t lost a series on the road since May 20-22, when they were swept by the Guardians in Cleveland.

Thanks to their recent successes, the Mets have catapulted themselves to the top of the National League standings and now enter the Subway Series with the third and final wildcard spot.

With just a few hours left until first pitch, here are the starting lineups for tonight’s Subway Series duel between the Yankees and the Mets:
