Courtney Hadwin performs her own song on America’s Got Talent: The Champions

British teenager Courtney Hadwin unveiled new music on “America’s Got Talent: The Champions.”

The 14-year-old rose to fame last year after reaching the final of the main show before signing a recording deal with judge Simon Cowell in December.

On Monday, Courtney performed on Champions and sang her own song, which earned her great praise from the judges. She did not immediately reveal the name of the song.

Cowell told her: “That was bloody fantastic. In the time you were on the show last year, something changed in you, your interaction with the audience, your confidence. I think that was my finest performance from you so far.”

Spice Girl Mel B is also on the jury and said Courtney is a “champion”.

She said: “You are only 14 and you have already figured out what style of clothing you have, what kind of music you like and how you want to perform.

“It takes most people a lifetime to figure out any of these things. And now you are one of the champions and you are undoubtedly a champion.”

And German supermodel Heidi Klum added: “I love it when you come on stage and then start singing, turning into a lioness and just roaring.”

Despite the glowing comments from the judges, Courtney’s performance was not enough to make it to the final. She made it to the final three, but lost to singer Christina Ramos.

Courtney now needs a wildcard to reach the final.

America’s Got Talent: The Champions brings together former winners and outstanding performers from different versions of the show from around the world.

Also appearing on Monday night was Ashleigh Butler, who won the sixth series of Britain’s Got Talent, while performing tricks with her dog Pudsey.

Pudsey, a male Border Collie, Bichon Frise and Chinese Crested mix, died in 2017 and Butler replaced him with Sully.

The couple performed a number to “She’s a Maniac” by Flashdance.

Last week also saw the performance of Scottish singer Susan Boyle, who came second in Britain’s Got Talent in 2009.

America’s Got Talent: The Champions continues in the US on January 21.
