Chris Brown and his staff face a million lawsuit over alleged backstage attack

Chris Brown, his 11:11 tour promoter Live Nation, as well as Sinko Ceej, Hood Boss and Yella Beezy are facing a $50 million lawsuit over an alleged assault that occurred after the singer’s concert on Friday, July 19, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Larry Parker, Joseph Lewis, Charles Bush and Da Marcus Powell, represented by attorneys Tony Buzbee and Caroline Adams, filed the lawsuit in Harris County District Court on Monday, July 22. According to the complaint, which was obtained by various media outlets, Chris Brown and his crew allegedly attacked the plaintiffs after the “Go Crazy” singer’s performance at Dickies Arena during his 11:11 tour. The four men were reportedly invited backstage to meet the singer, who arrived 30 minutes later than scheduled. As they prepared to leave, Brown and his crew allegedly intervened, with one member recalling a previous feud with one of the plaintiffs. Chris Brown then allegedly ordered his entourage to attack them.

The lawsuit alleges that Brown and seven to 10 of his followers attacked Bush by punching him in the chest, with Hood Boss allegedly throwing a chair at his head. They then turned on Parker, who attempted to escape through a stairwell that led to a locked door. According to the lawsuit, Parker was punched in the face and chest and kicked in the head for more than 10 minutes, allegedly following orders from Brown. Powell was allegedly punched in the shoulder, while Lewis allegedly endured attacks on the shoulder and chest. All four plaintiffs claim to be injured and are receiving medical treatment.

This legal battle joins a long line of legal troubles for Brown, including a 2009 guilty plea to assaulting his ex-girlfriend Rihanna. In the years that followed, he was involved in feuds with Drake and was sued for assault by his former manager in 2016. In 2017, Brown’s ex-girlfriend Karreuche Tran obtained a five-year restraining order against him for alleged threats.
