Chris Brown is being sued for million over alleged assault backstage at a concert in Texas | English film news

Chris Brown is facing a $50 million lawsuit following an alleged backstage assault at his concert in Texas last Friday. The suit was filed today in Harris County, Texas, by Larry Parker, Joseph Lewis, Charles Bush and Da Marcus Powell against Brown, his tour promoter Live Nation and other defendants, including Sinko Ceej, Hood Boss and Yella Beezy. The plaintiffs are also seeking a temporary restraining order against all defendants.

According to a report from TMZ, obtained by Variety, the incident occurred after Brown’s performance at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth as part of his 11:11 Tour. The plaintiffs were invited backstage to meet Brown, who arrived 30 minutes late. When Bush approached Brown to congratulate him, a member of Brown’s entourage reminded him of past issues between them. Brown allegedly reacted aggressively and attacked Bush, along with seven to 10 members of his entourage. Hood Boss allegedly threw a chair at Bush’s head.

The lawsuit states that Parker attempted to escape but was trapped by a locked door. At Brown’s direction, Parker was punched in the face and chest and kicked in the head for over ten minutes. Powell and Lewis were also reportedly attacked, with Powell being punched in the shoulder and Lewis being punched in the shoulder and chest. All four plaintiffs sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment.

The plaintiffs’ attorney, Tony Buzbee, stressed that no one should have to endure such violence and said they would seek the maximum damages allowed by law.

This lawsuit joins Chris Brown’s history of legal troubles. In 2009, he pleaded guilty to assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna. In 2012, he was involved in an altercation with Drake at a club in New York City. His former manager sued him for assault in 2016, and in 2017, his ex-girlfriend Karreuche Tran obtained a five-year restraining order against him for alleged threats.

Representatives for Brown, Beezy and Live Nation did not respond to Variety’s request for comment.
