Despite this, Hyun-su is still a tragic hero who perhaps thinks his life is only worth living if he saves everyone, no matter what.

After so much death and betrayal, it is hard to imagine how Sweet home can have a happy ending. The world has fallen apart, both humans and monsters are suffering, and there is no indication of when or how the monster pandemic will end. It wouldn’t surprise me if Hyun-su died a hero at the end of Sweet home Season 3. The series has proven on several occasions that it is not afraid to let important characters die. For example, at the beginning of the second season, Ji-su, played by Park Gyu-young, died. Hopefully that will not be the case.

While it would make sense for Hyun-su to sacrifice himself at the end, I hope he makes it out of Season 3 alive. After being through so much, Hyun-su deserves a happy ending, whatever that means in the world of. Sweet home. Despite the monsters, curses and perverse experiments, Sweet home is a story about Hyun-su, who fights against his own demons. The “monster side” of Hyun-su is nothing more than a manifestation of his fears and insecurities expressed in the show itself. I believe Hyun-su’s death is not the best conclusion to his story.

Song Kang’s next projects might be a while away, but Sweet Home ending after season 3 makes me excited to see what the K-drama star will do next.

Considering that the whole point of Sweet home Season 1 was about Hyun-su finding a reason to live in the apocalypse, it would be disappointing if he died at the end of the story. Regardless, I expect Song Kang’s character to play a very important role in the outcome of the war between humans and neohumans. He could be the one to put an end to it by bringing the two sides together. Hopefully Hyun-su can defeat Sang-won without sacrificing his life. After missing most of the second season, it’s time for Hyun-su to save the day.
