Taylor Swift’s new version of “Speak Now” will be released in July

Taylor Swift’s new version of “Speak Now” will be released in July

The latest re-recording of Taylor Swift’s previous works, supplemented by six new songs, will be released on July 7, the songwriter announced on Instagram.

“Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” was first released in 2010 and written when Swift was 18-20 years old.

“The songs from that time in my life were full of brutal honesty, unfiltered diary confessions and wild wistfulness. I love this album because it tells a story of growing up, of thrashing around, flying and crashing… and of living to tell the tale,” Swift wrote.

Swift’s re-recordings are revenge against her former label, Big Machine, which sold the masters of her previous catalogs in 2019. An angry Swift has since re-released “Fearless (Taylor’s Version)” and “Red (Taylor’s Version).”

At the beginning of the year, the “Anti-Hero” singer announced on Instagram that she would be releasing four previously unreleased songs “to celebrate the Eras Tour”: “Eyes Open (Taylor’s Version)”, “Safe & Sound (Taylor’s Version)” feat. Joy William and John Boy Music, “If This Was a Movie (Taylor’s Version)” and “All of the Girls You Loved Before”.

Swift’s announcement came during a major stadium tour.
