Brazilian singer Ayres Sasaki dies of electrocution after hugging a fan during a concert

Salinopolis (Brazil): Brazilian singer Ayres Sasaki has died at the age of 35. According to a report by People citing Brazilian news site Istoe Gente, Sasaki was electrocuted during a live performance on July 13 in Salinopolis Para, Brazil.

The tragic incident occurred almost instantly when Sasaki hugged a drenched concertgoer on stage at the Solar Hotel in Salinopolis. The contact caused a nearby cable to snap, resulting in a fatal electric shock.

As part of their investigation, the Para Civil Police collected witness statements and requested expert opinions, reported Istoe Gente.

In a statement released on Sunday, July 14, the Solar Hotel cooperated with the ongoing investigation. “We are fully committed to providing support to his family and taking the necessary measures. We reiterate our commitment to fully cooperate with the relevant authorities in the proper investigation of the events,” the hotel’s official Instagram account said.

The statement ended with condolences: “Our thoughts and sympathies are with Ayres Sasaki’s family and friends during this difficult time.”

Following his death, many fans expressed their shock and sadness in the comments section of his pinned posts and his final Instagram post.

Sasaki leaves behind his wife Mariana, with whom he was married for eleven months. (ANI)
