Connor Stalions, the central figure in the Michigan football sign-stealing scandal, will speak about his actions for the first time.

An episode of the Netflix documentary series “Untold,” premiering August 27, will focus on Stalions’ report.

Both the NCAA and Big Ten Conference ruled last year that Michigan illegally conducted in-person scouting of future opponents and potential opponents. Stalions was believed to be the main culprit behind that operation, as he had purchased tickets to games of teams the Wolverines were scheduled to play and then was spotted at those stadiums.

Stalions left his job with the Michigan football team during the 2023 season, which ended with the Wolverines going undefeated and winning the national championship. Then-Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh denied any knowledge of illegal scouting, but was nevertheless suspended by the Big Ten for three games to end the 2023 regular season.

Micah Brown, a former Kansas football player who has made documentaries for ESPN and Peacock, directs the Stalions episode.

Netflix also announced the subjects of two other upcoming episodes of “Untold”: A look at the murder of former star quarterback Steve McNair will air August 20, and an examination of former star goalkeeper Hope Solo’s feud with US Soccer will be available September 3.
