Charlotte Chilton, the star of ‘The Traitors’, says Conor Maynard left her ‘for fear of a miscarriage’ when the singer ‘turned on her’ after telling him she was pregnant

The star of “The Traitors” Charlotte Chilton said Conor Maynard left her “for fear of miscarriage” after the singer “turned on her” when she told him she was pregnant.

Charlotte, 32, announced two weeks ago that the 31-year-old singer was the father of her “miracle baby” – who was born after seven miscarriages – after the couple met at a wrap party for the BBC series earlier this year.

The recruitment manager was introduced to Conor by series winner Harry Clarke (23), who is dating his sister Anna.

In a scathing interview, Charlotte called Conor a “man-child” and a “narcissist” and claimed he “put pressure on her to keep his identity a secret.”

She told The Sun: “I think Conor is a narcissist. We had a great night together and even sent Harry a selfie of us in bed with the words ‘Successful match’.”

She continued: “We stayed in touch, confided in each other and planned to meet. But after I told him I was pregnant, this seemingly decent man changed.”

“He turned against me, I felt pressured to keep his identity as the father a secret. It was so stressful that the doctors put me on bed rest twice. I thought I was going to have a miscarriage.”

MailOnline has contacted Conor Maynard’s representative for comment.

Charlotte announced in April that she was pregnant with a “miracle baby” after suffering seven heartbreaking miscarriages.

She explained that her IVF had “failed” and that doctors had previously told her that she would “probably” never become a mother.

A month later, Charlotte revealed she was preparing to become a single mother after splitting from her wife Laura. And two weeks ago, she revealed that Conor is the father of her unborn child.

In an Instagram video, Charlotte said: “I’ve really been playing with myself about whether this is the right thing to do or not. I’ve hidden a lot of things during this process to protect someone else.”

“I decided it was best to always be open and honest. I did not mention the father by name for protection reasons.

“I’m willing to do this on my own, but I’m not willing to let my daughter grow up not being able to say who her father is – or should I say her biological father – or hide it from her.”

She added: “She has a right to know where she comes from. I am not a secret, she is not a dirty secret. I will not be silenced.”

“I met him after the wrap party of ‘The Traitors’ and we started dating and Penelope arrived in my belly!”

Now her estranged wife Laura Chilton, 33, has claimed the pair were still together when Charlotte slept with the singer in London. Laura and Charlotte were together for seven years and had one failed IVF attempt.

Laura, a telecommunications engineer, said she wanted to talk about it after Charlotte’s comments about a previous “toxic” relationship hurt her.

She said she also wanted to clarify when their relationship ended.

In an exclusive interview with MailOnline, Laura said: “Charlotte has stated in interviews that she was single and had been single since filming Traitors, which was not the case at all. We were still in a relationship when she was filming the show.”

Pictures show that Charlotte was still wearing her wedding ring when she attended the event in London in January.

In an earlier interview Charlotte said she and Conor spent the evening “stalking” her and that she was “vulnerable” as she had just come out of a “really toxic relationship”.

She revealed that the two eventually slept together and stayed in touch by phone, but the relationship fizzled out.

However, Charlotte felt unwell and believed she was infertile after the difficulties of artificial insemination. On her mother’s advice, she took a pregnancy test and discovered that she was pregnant.

She claimed that Conor was initially “delighted” with the news, but later said he was not ready to be a father.

Responding to the allegations, Laura said she “suspected” something had happened between Charlotte and Conor as she had previously cheated on her.

Speaking about the event where Conor and Charlotte met, Laura said: “She went to this graduation party in London. I read she was forced to go there. She wasn’t forced to go there at all.”

She added: “I hid a lot of things during this process to give to someone else.”
In the caption, she said she was “outspoken and honest” and would not be silenced anymore.

The recruitment manager was introduced to Conor (R) by series winner Harry Clarke (L), who is dating his sister Anna.

“She took that opportunity. I had a feeling something had happened because she decided to stay an extra day – which was obviously the night she spent with this Conor Maynard guy that I got wind of when she mentioned to me that he had a crush on her and she wasn’t interested – we were still together.

“But she acts in front of everyone as if we weren’t together back then. I want to make it clear that we were.”

Speaking about the baby, Laura said: “I think more than anything, people need to grow up. They need to stop making headlines by revealing who the father of their baby is and take responsibility. All joking aside, there’s another life coming into play now.”

“I spoke to Charlotte last night and told her to stop doing this and stop stirring up this media attention, but it’s becoming clear that this is exactly what she wants.”

Laura has moved back in with her parents to care for her as she has been struggling with her own mental health as a result.

The couple were together for seven years after meeting online.

“You know, we had some great times together, we had a really cool wedding – Charlotte went through a lot. We did IVF, but only one cycle and it was unsuccessful,” Laura said.

She said IVF was “really difficult.”

“I think for any couple that goes through this, whether they’re in a same-sex relationship or not, it’s hard. And being the other party is hard. I don’t think it’s talked about enough. We went through this during Covid too, which was even harder because I couldn’t go on appointments with her and stuff. I felt very left out.”

It was announced that Charlotte had separated from her wife Laura in May (seen together)

Charlotte revealed that her IVF had failed and that doctors had previously told her she would “probably” never become a mother

Charlotte wrote: “After 7 miscarriages in my twenties, failed insemination and failed IVF, I was told, ‘It probably won’t happen for you.’ Someone decided I deserved a wish fulfillment.”

Charlotte added: “It’s been a tough start (I never thought illness could be so bad) but I’m slowly starting to feel normal again!! It’s been a shock to say the least but the most welcome surprise ever!!!”

She discovered Charlotte was pregnant after seeing pictures online. When asked how she felt when she found out, she said: “I can’t say I’m sad. The main feeling I have is I just hope that she and he and the family make the right decision for the child and keep it out of the spotlight.”

“I’m surrounded by so many good people who have helped me through this whole thing. I can’t thank them enough because I may not be here now, but it’s really teaching me to be more resilient, really.”

She said all she wanted now was for everyone involved to do the “right thing” for the baby.

“I just want everyone to stand up now. She has always loved the attention, she is such a charismatic person, funny and very witty, but unfortunately she can hurt the people closest to her.”

Conor has not commented publicly on the news.
