The superhero couple appeared on Good Morning America on Monday, where they chatted about the upcoming Marvel film.

In the film, Ryan, who plays Wade Wilson/Deadpool, teams up with Hugh’s character Logan/Wolverine to defeat a common enemy.

During the interview, 47-year-old Ryan said that since filming “Deadpool 2,” he had dreamed of using one of Madonna’s songs, “Like A Prayer,” in the franchise.

He managed to arrange a meeting with Madonna and ask her permission to use the song, which made him even more nervous than usual.

“It was a real, once in a lifetime opportunity to speak with Madonna,” said the “The Proposal” actor.

He added that the Queen of Pop does not usually license her songs for films, especially her 1989 hit “Like a Prayer.”

“I was so nervous, also because it’s Madonna,” he admitted.

“I asked the person who was in charge of organizing it: Should I say Madonna? Should I bow? Is blinking an insult? Tell me what I’m supposed to do here when I walk in.”

Ryan said he had had the song in his head for six years and he knew exactly where he wanted it in the new film.

“I went in on the wrong foot. I was so nervous that there would be a no, but Madonna was gracious,” he revealed.

Ryan added that not only was she completely open-minded, but the Vogue singer also gave him an idea about how the song could better fit the scene.

“Ultimately, it was a turning point,” Ryan said.

“Who would have thought that Madonna, of all people, would have a brilliant understanding of music and its application in pop culture?” he joked.

EXCLUSIVE CLIP THAT GONE WRONG

During the interview, Ryan and Hugh surprised their fans with some early morning drama when an exclusive clip from the film was shown.

In the clip, the actors apologized to viewers and GMA presenters Robin Roberts (63) and George Stephanopoulos (63).

The teaser featured Ryan’s character Deadpool joking with Hugh’s character Wolverine that he had had “several sexually transmitted diseases” in the past.

The scene took place in a diner, where Wolverine was seen rummaging through the refrigerator behind the counter.

The teaser clip ended with Wolverine hitting the refrigerator door from the outside and screaming “F**k!”

After the broadcast, Hugh immediately apologized with several words of “I’m sorry.”

Ryan also apologized, joking: “This will be our last show and we thank you for your loyalty and faithfulness over the years.”

Even Robin noticed how early it was to see such a shocking clip, waving at the camera and adding: “Good morning, everyone!”

In addition to Ryan and Hugh, “Deadpool & Wolverine” also stars Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa and Rob Delaney as Peter.

Some fans also believe that 34-year-old singer Taylor Swift could make a possible appearance as Lady Deadpool, as the main characters were wearing friendship bracelets in one of the film’s promo photos.

Their fans are known for wearing the bracelets during their worldwide performances of their Eras Tour.
