What do Cavan Scott and Pius Bak have to say about the Godfather of Hell?

Cavan Scott explained what readers can look forward to in this series, noting, “Two of my favorite genres collide in GODFATHER OF HELL: gangster noir and exorcist terror. Get ready for visceral body horror, oodles of black humor, and moments of super-cool swagger brought to life by Pius’ neon-drenched art. It’s sexy, dark, and downright terrifying!”

He added: “Most exorcist dramas focus on the human victims and their rescuers, but THE GODFATHER OF HELL flips the script and tells the story of multiple possession from the perspective of the demons themselves. Our guide through the ultimate criminal underworld is Dario, a mafia enforcer who, after a fatal shootout, receives an unexpected business offer from one of Satan’s lieutenants. Hell, Dario quickly realizes, is just another business, and if there’s one thing Dario knows, it’s how to do business. Can he beat the devil at his own game to save those he loves from eternal damnation? Or will he end up losing his soul?”

Scott concluded, “GODFATHER OF HELL is a demonic noir film where human souls serve as collateral and damnation lurks around every corner: a truly twisted tale of obsession, passion and power play. I can’t wait for everyone to meet the devil’s new debt collector!”

For his part, Pius Bak shared, “Throughout my career I’ve tried different genres, but lately I’ve found that I naturally tend to draw weirder and scarier stuff, so was I thrilled when Vault approached me with the idea of working on this unique take on horror? And with Cavan Freaking Scott? HELL, yes! The story is funny and sad, very cool and creepy, I really enjoy Cavan’s storytelling. For me, working on this book was incredibly fun, from designing the characters to illustrating the covers, from sketching the layouts to inking the pages!”

Godfather of Hell No. 1 is scheduled to be released in October.
