In an interview with Sirius XM last week (July 19), Reynolds talked about using Swift’s cats Meredith and Olivia on a T-shirt during his starring role in the 2018 film, the sequel to which – Deadpool and Wolverine – hits theaters this week (July 26).

“Yeah, I had a T-shirt made. Yeah, of (Swift’s cats) Meredith and Olivia on Wade’s shirt,” Reynolds explained during the interview. “Yeah, you know, just little details, that’s all.”

Reynolds was asked if he had to get Swift’s permission, to which he jokingly replied, “No, I got sued. I lost everything.”

“And being sued by a friend is hard to take,” he continued. “Plus, she just has a lot of very, very powerful lawyers. I later found out that they were just the paralegals. The real lawyers didn’t even bother.”

“But… I would never do something like that,” he said of wearing the T-shirt without the pop star’s permission.

Meanwhile, Swift has been the focus of speculation for some time about a possible surprise appearance as superhero Dazzler in the upcoming Marvel film.

In his Instagram stories earlier this month (July 2), Reynolds recreated the album cover of Taylor Swift’s “Evermore” in his Deadpool costume. In the picture, he is seen with his back to the camera in a forest and even added the album’s title track to the story.

However, there has been no confirmation from Reynolds whether this means Swift will star in the upcoming film or not.

In 2022, Reynolds also said he would like to have Swift in the Marvel film. “Are you kidding me? I would do anything for that woman. She’s a genius,” he said Entertainment tonight when asked if he wanted Swift to perform.

Swift is friends with Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively. Swift’s music video for “All Too Well” was filmed at Reynolds and Lively’s home, while Reynolds previously made a cameo appearance in Swift’s music video for “You Need to Calm Down.”

The newest Deadpool and Wolverine Trailer also showed the return of an old X-Men Enemy.

In the new trailer, Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) is seen shouting “Who’s next?” before one of his enemies bursts out of the X-Men Universe makes an appearance. Sabretooth, Wolverine’s longtime arch-enemy, then makes a surprise appearance in the trailer. The character, played by Tyler Mane, last appeared in the 2000 film X-Men, where she fought Wolverine in a snowy forest.

In the trailer, Deadpool (played by Reynolds) gives some advice before the two arch enemies are seen sprinting towards each other at the end of the trailer.
