Love Island’s Uma shares big update on relationship with Wil

Love Island star Uma Jammeh has made her relationship with co-star Wil Anderson official after they left the show together.

Uma shocked Love Island fans and her fellow islanders when she decided to quit the competition following Wil’s elimination.

After she announced she would rather go away with him than stay in the villa, some wondered if their romance outside of the relationship would last, but it seems the couple are still going strong as Wil has just asked Uma to be his girlfriend.

After a romantic date night in London, Uma shared on her Instagram stories an arrangement of candles and flowers that Wil had prepared for her so that she could propose.

“Guys, I just got back to the hotel room and saw this,” she wrote in her now-expired story, whereupon Wil reshared her post and added, “Your boy has a girlfriend now.”

The couple also appeared on Aftersun, where Wil was quizzed by host Maya Jama about what he loves about Uma.

“I knew from the second I met her that I could have easily loved her,” he said, praising “everything she did for me on the show.”

Speaking about her shocking decision to leave the show rather than reunite with bombshell Reuben Collins, Uma said: “It’s a bittersweet feeling. I made such amazing friends in the villa that it felt like home.”

“I’m glad I’m leaving because I wouldn’t have wanted to stay and I wouldn’t have been honest with myself and my feelings for Wil,” she continued, later explaining that she “wouldn’t have wanted it to be any other way.”
