Tonight is a big night for television.
On Sunday, the finale of Love Island USA and a new episode of House of the Dragon aired simultaneously, and fans of the hit dating show and cult fantasy series had a difficult decision to make about what they wanted to watch.
Fans of both shows shared their thoughts on social media. “Sunday dilemma, deciding whether to watch Love Island or Hotd first,” wrote one fan on X, formerly Twitter.

Another said: “I love that there’s only Love Island and HotD on the TL.” Other people pointed out that they were switching between streaming services, writing: “Pausing Love Island to watch HOTD.”
Some people shared their difficult decision. “I chose HOTD over Love Island but will be watching it straight after so won’t be back until 11,” one wrote.
In the final episode of Love Island USA, four couples waited to see if they had won the show and the $100,000 cash prize. JaNa and Kenny, Kendall and Nicole, Serena and Kordell, and Leah and Miguel were the final four couples.
Meanwhile, House of the Dragon, which is set nearly 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones, has three episodes left of the season. The action-packed and dramatic season has been eagerly awaited by viewers.
However, for those who decided to watch the hit HBO show, social media was ready with Love Island spoilers within minutes. With the entire two-hour episode uploaded to Peacock, viewers could simply skip to the end to find out who won – and then tell everyone on social media.
“I’m so fucking mad at the people who posted winner spoilers right now. I could have at least waited until 10:30,” wrote one X user. Another added, “Big fuck you motherfuckers who fast forward to the end of the episode and then come here to post spoilers #loveislandusa thanks for ruining the chat. Thanks for ruining everything, honestly.”
