Tampa Bay Rays SS Taylor Walls imitates Donald Trump with “Fight! Fight!” punch after a double

Sewerage No. 45.

Obviously, the video and image of former President Donald Trump raising his fist and chanting “Fight! Fight!” after last weekend’s assassination attempt instantly became iconic images in American history. And his supporters have started using it as a rallying cry, too. Kid Rock even incorporated it into his performance of “American Bad Ass” at the Republican National Convention last week.

And now it has found its way to the MLB.

During today’s game against the New York Yankees, Tampa Bay Rays shortstop Taylor Walls raised his fist in the air and began chanting “Fight! Fight!” as he made his way to second base after a double.

Walls’ support of the former president is not surprising, as the baseball player had previously expressed his support when Florida Governor Ron DeSantis opposed the participation of transgender athletes in women’s sports.

And in 2022, he also criticized the NFL for its ever-changing COVID policies, mocking them for putting “money over politics” when they finally decided to stop daily testing for unvaccinated players.
