AEW Collision’s theme song was changed and the guy who made it knew you would hate it

There have been a few cases over the past few weeks where there simply wasn’t an opening song for AEW’s Saturday night show. collision. Fans of the show in question – COLLIDERS, as Tony Khan once called it – have become accustomed to the sound of Elton John telling everyone: “Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting.”

This week, AEW announced that this will no longer be the case:

In fact, a new theme song is here and fans are not particularly happy about it. The man who made the song expected this reaction and commented on it on social media:

In fact, it is almost impossible to live up to Elton John’s standards, and he is almost certainly right when he says that this change would be universally hated for that reason alone.

Count me in as someone who doesn’t really care about any of this. A good theme song for a show is great, but it’s completely unnecessary in the grand scheme of things. If the show is good, who cares about the music that goes with it?

Right?
