Tigers sign Michigan transfer Collin Priest

Collin Priest is a former Michigan infielder who has now entered Clemson’s transfer portal.


Clemson Baseball went back into the transfer portal for another well-known connection for
Erik Bakich.

Former Michigan infielder Collin Priest announced his commitment to Clemson on Saturday.

Priest was named All-Big Ten Freshman and Second-Team All-American Freshman last season. As a designated hitter, he had a .279 batting average with 11 home runs, 30 RBIs, 11 doubles and 34 walks with 52 strikeouts.

Before Michigan:

• First All-State Team

• Had a batting average of .417 with an OPS of 1.546 and 11 home runs in his final season

• During his high school career, he hit .383/.576 with 25 home runs and 84 RBI

• Three-time All-State selection

• Three-time All-District selection

• In the last season he was team captain

• Named MVP of the team and MVP of the offense

• Led the team to three district championships and one regional championship

• Holds the school home run record for a season and the career home run record

• Played in the Dominican Republic against top international players

He is the new addition to the transfer portal so far, alongside former Indiana State outfielder Dominic Listi.
