During a campaign rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance criticized Vice President Kamala Harris, responding to her recent comments about him.

“Kamala Harris said something to the effect that I have no loyalty to this country,” Vance said.

“Well, I don’t know, Kamala. I served in the United States Marine Corps and built a business. What the hell did you do besides cash the check?” Vance added.

Vance’s remarks came after Vice President Harris posted a 45-second video on social media platform X on Wednesday criticizing Vance for supporting a national abortion ban and voting against protecting assisted reproduction.

“Donald Trump chose JD Vance as his new vice president. Trump was looking for someone he knew would endorse his extreme agenda,” Harris said in the video.

Vance said: “Vice President Kamala Harris doesn’t like me.”

He questioned her achievements and said that her career had been primarily about “collecting a salary from her political offices.”

He added: “We must give her credit, my friends.”

“She served as border czar during the greatest disaster we have ever seen in this country – the open border,” he said.

Vance appealed to his supporters, demanding: “Let’s get President Trump back there, close the border and bring some common sense and safety to this country.”
