This week in the war against women

This week in the war against women

It would be difficult to make the Republican list worse by choosing a vice president, but TFG did it with JD Vance, an opportunist who stopped calling TFG “Hitler” and instead shamelessly kissed his ass. Among other things:

  • Vance is not only against freedom of choice, he supports Women pursue cross state borders to have an abortion.
  • He is strangely obsessed with demanding that other people have children and has even suggested that people without biological children lower voting rights than the parents.
  • He is against divorce without blameand has suggested that it is somehow better for children to live in a household with domestic violence than for victims who can leave. (Would someone care to tell him about TFG’s two divorces?)
  • He now complains that the country is being destroyed by “childless female cats.“ (Again, WHY this fixation on other people’s reproductive choices???)

As always, this diary is a group effort. Thanks to Ramara, Mettle Fatigue, Elenacarlena, Angmar and the WOW crew for links and discussions.

Reproductive rights:

Montana and Arkansas are fighting for abortion law changes and are likely to win, despite various attempts by the state’s GOP authorities to ban abortion. As reported here on dailykos by hairylarry.

What is a “Late abortion“, and why do politicians talk about it all the time?

In Gaza, Miscarriages and maternal deaths have reportedly increased by 300%.

Healthcare:

The best and worst states for women’s health.

Unlike most of the world, India Women hit harder than men of COVID.

Sex therapist “Dr. Ruth” Westheimer dies at the age of 96.

Problems at work:

The 19th news: Trump’s shooting has prompted the right wing to question the suitability of women for the Secret Service, starting with Kimberly Cheatle, the second woman to head the agency.

The post office, McDonald’s and others will sued for non-performance young mothers who need to pump breast milk.

Force:

The vast majority of Americans do not believe they may need to resort to violence to get the country back on track. HOWEVER, Support for this view is higher among Republican men than among any other partisan gender group.according to a survey conducted earlier this year.

Haitian women and girls face alarming violence in refugee camps.

Violence against Women in Brazil reaches the highest level ever recorded.

“I was handed over to a complete stranger”: The survivors fight for an end Children’s wedding in 37 US states – and the people who want to keep it legal.

Not categorizable:

Former sex worker and “Slutwalk” organizer Amber Roseonce a vocal feminist, now speaks at the RNC and talks about how TFG makes her “feel safe.” Yes, she said that about a convicted rapist. This election is just a WTF. The Republican Party has officially written off women.
