Pilot reveals what it’s like to fly a “Mile High Club” aircraft that has completed 3,000 flights

If you’ve always dreamed of joining the Mile High Club but don’t want to risk a public nuisance warning, booking a flight with Captain Anthony “Tony” Blake could be the perfect solution for you.

The businessman, who has 42 years of cockpit experience, has decided to capitalize on people’s desire for sex in the sky and set up a company that offers flights where sexual intercourse is not only allowed, but even encouraged.

US-based tour operator Love Cloud Vegas has already operated an incredible 3,000 Mile High Experience trips in its twin-engine Cessna 414 over the past four years, so there is definitely demand.

Blake, the company’s co-founder and chief pilot, explained that up to four people can come on board and have fun while he flies them over the Las Vegas desert and the Sin City’s famous Strip.

Passengers can make themselves comfortable on the double bed at the rear of the aircraft, which is equipped with red satin sheets, pillows and cushions for the sex position and a special foam mattress.

Instead of trying to squeeze into a tiny restroom with your partner like most members of the Mile High Club do, you can simply close the privacy curtain between the cockpit and the flight deck so the pilot doesn’t interrupt your fun.

Blake joked that because of this, the Love Cloud Vegas team “can’t call it the cockpit anymore.”

While you relax and make the most of the “romantic interior,” the pilot also wears a noise-canceling headset – meaning you can be as loud as you like.

Despite all this equipment to protect your privacy, there is still a way pilots can find out what you are up to.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Blake said: “When the wings clap, we know something is happening back there. We don’t know exactly what, but we’re pretty sure they’ve got the order.”

“It’s a very private, romantic evening. We feel it. I like to say I have a very sensitive joystick in the front. They move their feet and move backwards. I feel it. It’s a smaller, mid-sized airplane. And we feel everything – unfortunately.”

However, there is a chance that the captain will be more focused on conversations with air traffic controllers rather than any noise you may make, as Love Cloud Vegas flights “fly in very restricted airspace.”

Blake explained: “Friday and Sunday nights are generally the busiest places in the country.

“We circle the airspace, in and out, down, under and around it. At any given time – 24 hours a day – there are probably 50 pilots taking off and 50 pilots landing.”

“We’re constantly listening to directional vectors – if we miss two calls, my 42-year-old license is gone. So there’s a lot going on in my ears.”

If you’re worried the curtain might fall or pop open when the pilot makes a sharp turn, Blake assures you that he’s “never accidentally fallen off during a flight,” so you can leave your inhibitions behind on the runway.

The experienced pilot explained that for those who book the Mile High experience, pretty much anything goes, but some people go really daring and bring “toy bags,” arrive in “sexy lingerie,” or “blindfold” their partner.

For this reason, Love Cloud Vegas says they typically “throw away” the sheets after every flight.

Blake explained that on the four aircraft they have, there is a window of up to an hour between flights during which ground staff can thoroughly clean the premises and remake the beds.

He said: “At one point last year we bought all the red satin sheets that Google has. We buy about 500 a month. We have bed covers and the beds themselves are thrown out about every 60 days – they are the cleanest beds in town.”

Customers can choose from different packages: Copper costs £785 ($995) for a half-hour flight, Silver costs £943 ($1,195), Gold costs £1,101 ($1,395) and Platinum costs £1,184 ($1,500) for 90 minutes of fun.

However, Blake warned that those who pluck up the courage to embark on an adventurous journey to lofty heights will be turned away, as he believes it is not a “drunken or disrespectful party”.

Passengers must be over 18 to book the flight with Love Cloud Vegas. The company also offers other romantic flights that don’t involve frolicking in the sky, but the pilot said even people over 80 have given it a try.

At the end of the flight, customers are given a mileage certificate and a Love Cloud club card – so you don’t go home empty-handed.
