Demon Lord 2099 gets three new voice actors

Three new voice actors join the cast of the upcoming Demon Lord 2099 TV anime series that Broadcasting begins in Japan in fall 2024.

The new voice actors include Daisuke Namikawa as grief, Masaya Matsukaze as Marcus, and Shizuka Ito as Kinohara.

They join a main cast in which Satoshi Hino as Veltol Velvet Velsvalt, Miku Ito as Machina Soleige and Hana Hishikawa as Takahashi.

Ryo Ando (Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch of Mercury Assistant Director) is directing the anime adaptation, with Yuichiro Momose (The Witch and the Beast) as a series scriptwriter and screenwriter, Ryosuke Tanigawa (My romantic teen comedy SNAFU – Climax Co-lead animator) as character designer and Tatsuya Kato (Yohane the Parhelion: Sunshine in the Mirror) as a music composer. JCSTAFF is responsible for the production of the animation.

Demon Lord 2099 is based on the light novel series by Daigo Murasaki and illustrated by Kuretawhich was first published on January 20, 2021 by Fujimi Shobo’s Fantasia Bunko imprint. A total of three volumes have been published as of June 2023. The series also won in the “Alternative Dimension” category of the 33rd Fantasia Award.

The light novels also inspired two manga adaptations, the first by Kiiro Akashiro runs from November 5, 2021 to June 24, 2022. A second manga adaptation of Kan Sakurai began serialization on Shonen Ace Plus on March 22, 2023.
