Taylor Swift takes royal selfie at concert in London

Taylor Swift took a perfect royal selfie before her performance at Wembley – posing with the Prince of Wales and two young music fans, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Kensington Palace published a photo of the royal trio with the singer backstage before the concert on Friday evening.

“Thank you Taylor Swift for a great night!” read the caption.

For Prince William, taking his two young children to the hottest show in town was a way to score as many daddy points as possible on his 42nd birthday. It was a busy birthday week, as he had just flown in from Germany, where he had attended England’s Euro 2016 match against Denmark the night before.

Swift then posted another selfie, with her boyfriend Travis Kelce joining Prince William, ten-year-old Prince George and nine-year-old Princess Charlotte for the next photo.

“Happy birthday M8! The London shows are off to a great start,” her post read.

The Princess of Wales stayed at home with six-year-old Prince Louis.

The US megastar brought her Eras Tour to London on Friday, performing in front of a crowd of almost 90,000. It was the first of her eight shows at the stadium, split between this week and August.

Other Swifties in the crowd included Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan and Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer.

Swift described London, where she lived for a while early in her career, as “the most exciting city in the world.”
