Here’s the Joe Hendry parody song about Elias you never knew you needed

Here’s the Joe Hendry parody song about Elias you never knew you needed

Joe Hendry has taken the wrestling world by storm this year. The TNA star landed in the UK music charts with his catchy entrance theme, seems to have become a permanent fixture in WWE NXT and will challenge for his hometown promotion’s world title tonight on PPV.

It wasn’t long ago that another music act had similar success. Elias may not have been on the same path to success as Hendry, but the then-WWE star had enough criticism to be booed across Washington state in 2018.

With Elias doing indie work as Elijah after leaving WWE last fall and Hendry seemingly appearing anywhere his name was mentioned, it was probably inevitable that the two would cross paths. We have to admit that with so many possible “dream matches” in this new era of collaboration between wrestling promotions, a match between Elijah and Hendry wasn’t even on our wish list.

But based on the video showing the preparations for their encounter at North Wrestling last week, Thunderstruck 2 Show in England, that should have been it.

It starts with Elijah singing about wanting Hendry to be him. Of course, Joe appears on screen when his name appears in the Drifter’s lyrics, with his own melody for the not-real Ezekiel…

Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, I’ll sing this all day, all day, sing this all day.

Anyway…according to Cagematch, this scene was followed by a fight. Hendry won, of course. But if this video goes as viral as some of Joe’s other work, we expect Elijah to get another chance.
