Country singer Rory Feek remarries 8 years after the death of his wife Joey!

Rory Feek is a married man again!

Eight years after the loss of his wife and musical partner Joey Fleek was diagnosed with cervical cancer, the country musician announced that he had tied the knot with his 10-year-old daughter IndianaTeacher, Rebecca. Rory shared in a blog post that the couple were married on July 14th “under a beautiful timber gazebo here in Greycliff, Montana” in the presence of his child, family and close friends. What made their wedding extra special? He surprised his bride by performing a song he wrote for her called I do. Ohhh!

An accompanying music video for the song showed clips from their wedding ceremony, including the emotional moment when he serenaded Rebecca in front of their guests. Watch it (below):

This is so sweet! And they look so happy together! And as for their love story? Rory and Rebecca were a couple for a while. However, the singer shared that his marriage was all because of Indiana. Grab some tissues for this story, Perezcious readers! It’s a real tearjerker! He wrote on the blog:

“We knew marriage was a possibility. But neither of us felt like we could talk about it seriously. Especially because up until then, Indiana had only seen Rebecca as ‘Miss Rebecca,’ her teacher and our friend.”

But Indiana mentioned an idea to Rebecca “in late March” when the two were hanging out at Rory’s farm. gentleman Artist recalled:

“They came back into the kitchen and Rebecca said, ‘Rory, Indiana just asked me something that I think you should hear.’ I asked Indy and she told me that she had said, ‘Ms. Rebecca, I think you should marry daddy.’ Of course I was happy but surprised and told her that we all need to start praying about it. And then Indy looked at me and said, ‘And I told Miss Rebecca that my mommy has been gone for a long time. And if she marries you, maybe she could be my new mother…'”

Of course, Rory was touched by his daughter’s words. The father even admitted to wiping tears from his eyes during the conversation! And soon after, he and Rebecca started planning the wedding. Judging by the pictures and videos of their big day, everything was perfect! But what was Rory and Rebecca’s “favorite moment” of the wedding? He wrote:

“When Indiana got the gift of having a mommy back in her life. And Rebecca got the gift of being a mother. And we became a family.”
