The Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office said it had launched a criminal investigation into the cruise missile attack on a residential area that occurred shortly after 5 p.m. local time on Friday and damaged residential buildings and a kindergarten playground.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote The attack showed that “not enough pressure” was being exerted on Russia and called for “new measures” to support Ukraine’s air defense and to make Russia “feel the power of the world.”

Two people were also killed in a separate rocket attack in the eastern Ukrainian region of Kharkiv in the early hours of Saturday, Kharkiv Governor Oleh Synyehubov wrote on Telegram.

A Russian Iskander missile hit an infrastructure facility in the town of Barvinkove, Synyehubov said, damaging over 50 residential buildings and injuring three other people.
