NBC to series “LA” and “Grosse Pointe Garden Society”

NBC Pilots Suits: LA And Grosse Pointe Garden Society were selected by the broadcaster for the series.

Suits: LA starring Stephen Amell and is a spin-off of the USA Network original series that recently gained a resurgence in popularity while streaming on Netflix. It originally aired from 2011 to 2019.

According to Deadline, the original show’s creator, Aaron Korsh, returns as a writer and executive producer for the new project, which is produced by UCP and Hypnotic.

According to the official logline, the show follows Ted Black (Amell), “a former New York federal prosecutor who has reinvented himself by representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles. His firm is in crisis, and to survive, he must embrace a role he has despised his entire career. Ted is surrounded by a cast of outstanding characters who test their loyalty to both Ted and each other as their personal and professional lives cannot help but intertwine.”

The series also stars Josh McDermitt, Lex Scott Davis and Bryan Greenberg. David Bartis, Doug Liman and Gene Klein serve as executive producers, along with Victoria Mahoney, who also directed the pilot episode.

NBC also announced that it Grosse Pointe Garden Society with Melissa Fumero, AnnaSophia Robb, Ben Rappaport, Matthew Davis, Alexander Hodge, Aja Naomi King, Nancy Travis and Felix Avitia.

The drama series, produced by Universal Television and Minnesota Logging Co., tells the story of four members of a suburban gardening club from diverse backgrounds who “become embroiled in murder and mischief while struggling to make their conventional lives work.”

Executive producers are Jenna Bans, Bill Krebs, Casey Kyber and Maggie Kiley (who also directed the pilot episode).
