Author from North Olmsted, Ohio, publishes book about rescue dogs


“Max and Midnight: The Journey Continues,” a new book by Jane E. Gordon, is published by Dorrance Publishing Co., Inc.

Max and Midnight: The Journey Continues is the sequel to The Journey of Max and Midnight. This is a true story about two little rescue dogs who were adopted by the author and her two sons. The sequel offers readers an informational text about how to prepare for adopting a dog or cat. Max and Midnight: The Journey Continues is filled with memory pages about pets who have lost their loving owners and pays tribute to beloved pets.

About the author
Jane E. Gordon is a former marathon runner and mother of two boys and currently two small dogs, Max and Midnight.

Gordon is a retired lubricant technician and teacher, but still works part-time as a mental health counselor. She is a passionate dog lover and devoted mother to all four dogs, her two fur babies, and her two sons.

Gordon wrote this book as a dedication to her sophomore class of 2023 before she finally retired. Her goal is to educate people about adopting rescued animals and help them find permanent homes.
