Charlie Woods tees off for his first two rounds of the U.S. Junior Amateur next week at Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Township.

Tiger Woods’ son Charlie is making his United States Golf Association Championship debut and will tee off on the first hole of the North Course at 8:28 a.m. Monday. The 15-year-old will then tee off on the 10th hole of the restored South Course at 1:48 p.m. Tuesday.

His playing partners are Chase Kyes, a commit to Alabama’s Class of 2025 who is ranked No. 8 among juniors according to the Universal Golf Rankings (TUGR), and Davis Ovard, a sophomore at Baylor who won the North and South Amateur at Pinehurst No. 2 in late June.

Charlie is the 763rd ranked junior golfer in the world according to TUGR, but helped his high school team, the Benjamin School, win the Florida state title last winter as the only freshman on the team.

Tiger is expected to be on the course after missing the cut at the Open Championship in Scotland on Friday. Parents are not allowed to caddie at the event.

Trends: Charlie Woods is ready to make his debut at the US Junior Am in Oakland Hills. Just ask his coach.

The USGA announced all tee times on Friday for the 264 participants in the first two rounds of stroke play, with each competitor playing one round on each course. The top 64 will take part in match play, which begins on the South Course on Wednesday, and the final 36-hole set will be played on Saturday.

Other than Charlie, perhaps the biggest name in the field is Miles Russell. The 15-year-old made his PGA Tour debut three weeks ago at the Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detroit (he shot even par and missed the cut). He is the No. 1 player in the American Junior Golf Association rankings and No. 7 in TUGR. Russell tees off in the first round at 8 a.m. Monday on the North Course and in the second round at 1:10 p.m. Tuesday on the South Course.

THE COURSE: I played the newly restored South Course at Oakland Hills. Here is my review.

Two golfers from Michigan are competing: Connor Fox (Lake Orion) will tee off at 7:00 a.m. on Monday on the South Course and Ieuan Jones (Ann Arbor) will tee off at 7:44 a.m., also on the South Course.

Here is the full list of tee times for the 2024 U.S. Junior Amateur.

Admission to the U.S. Junior Amateur is free and no ticket is required. Parking is available at Bloomfield Hills High School and two parking lots in Southfield (20500 Civic Center Dr and 25800 Northwestern Hwy). A shuttle will take fans to Oakland Hills Country Club.
