Richmond County authorities have charged a second defendant in the brutal beating of a local father to death outside a Dollar General. (See video of the aftermath below.)

Creston Curry, 37, was arrested Friday on Sherman Street in Augusta on warrants for murder and armed robbery in connection with the June 15 killing of 28-year-old Elias Delk. The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office arrested Curry with assistance from the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force.

On Thursday, 36-year-old Tamiko Shynese Bolton was charged with Delk’s murder.

The victim’s body was found outside the Dollar General on Martin Luther King Jr. in the early morning hours of June 15, authorities said. Delk was beaten by a group of people with fists, feet and a stick, leaving him with bruising on his scalp, broken ribs and a punctured left lung, an arrest warrant said.

The injuries caused his death, authorities said.
