An Elden Ring player beat the DLC using only voice commands

Get good… with your words!!

Elden RingElden Ring

How good are you in Elden Ring? That’s an honest question, so please answer just as honestly. If you can say you’re “good enough to beat the main game,” that’s an accomplishment! If you can say, “I can do that on a high difficulty or with a less powerful build,” that’s pretty impressive! Let’s up the ante for you here, though. Namely, one player dug into the DLC content for the FromSoftware title and decided it would be a great idea to play through the entire game using only voice commands. And guess what? He did it.

If you’re wondering, “How did they prove they actually did that?”, you’ve come to the right place. The VTuber decided to post the DLC’s final boss fight against Promised Consort Radahn and show how they used voice commands to achieve victory.

The irony here is multi-faceted. The first irony is simply that they were able to do this at all and then clarified online how they did it. The second irony is that Elden Ring: Shadow of the Earth Tree was known from the start to be an incredibly difficult expansion to the main title. Because of this, many people complained about the difficulty even upon release and created mods to lower the difficulty so they could just beat the title and move on. For someone like The Larxa to take on this challenge with nothing but his voice is pretty cool, but it’s a tall order for those who want to try and top it.

The final irony is that this game is known to be so difficult, and yet the gaming community doesn’t care that players use various peripherals and everyday objects to think up clever ways to win the game despite its difficulty level. Seriously, you can find numerous videos online of how people have won the game using things like dance mats, bananas, guitars, and now their own voice.

It’s really cool to see players come up with clever tactics to defeat the incredibly difficult bosses. One can only wonder what FromSoftware thinks of this. On the other hand, maybe they’re just happy that people are embracing the difficulty and pushing through the pain it causes them to try and win.
