Willmar’s June 2024 building permits have a total value of ,461,013 – West Central Tribune

WILLMAR — The city of Willmar issued a total of 74 building permits, as well as permits for mechanical work and plumbing installation, in June. Those permits had a total value of $7,461,013, according to the monthly report posted on the city’s website.

Among the permits issued were two for the Les Schwab Truck Center: one valued at $3,066,172 to build a new building at 3320 First St. S. and the second, valued at $249,000, is a mechanical permit that covers heating, ventilation and air conditioning work. The new building will be constructed on First Street South in front of Menards.

Other permits issued valued at $20,000 or more include the following:

  • A commercial permit for roof repairs for 1400 Seventh St. SE valued at $123,971. The permit was issued to the City of Willmar for the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
  • A commercial cultivation permit for 360 45th St. NW valued at $454,000. The permit was issued to Epitopix LLC.
  • A commercial building permit for 1221 First St. S. valued at $1,400,000. The permit was issued to Willmar Dev LLC for the construction of a new Popeyes store.
  • A commercial permit for roof repairs valued at $20,000 for 1501 Eighth St. SW. The permit was issued to T&T Investors LLC.
  • A church/school remodeling permit for 209 Willmar Ave. SE valued at $500,000. The permit was issued to Independent School District 347, Willmar Public Schools, for Willmar Middle School.
  • A church/school roof re-roofing permit for 1401 Sixth St. SW in the amount of $34,472. The permit was issued to Redeemer Lutheran Church.
  • A commercial alteration permit for a building located at 2040 Highway 12 E. valued at $29,750. The permit was issued to Willmar Investment Group.
  • A commercial permit for re-roofing a building located at 103 30th St. NW in the amount of $38,000. The permit was issued to Sand Family Revoc Trust / T&J.
  • A commercial siding permit for a building located at 208 Lakeland Dr. SE valued at $31,200. The permit was issued to Skuttle Tight Inc.
  • A commercial permit for re-roofing a building at 101 Willmar Ave. SW valued at $200,000. The permit was issued to CentraCare.
  • A commercial permit for re-roofing a building located at 505 Becker Ave. SW valued at $68,584. The permit was issued to Kandiyohi County.

  • A permit for a service connection to a building in the 900 block of 23rd Street Southeast valued at $24,000.
  • A permit for exterior cladding on a building in the 1100 block of Irene Avenue Southeast valued at $28,985.
  • A new building permit for a building in the 1500 block of 15th Street Southwest valued at $387,264.
  • A permit for re-roofing a building in the 900 block of Meadow Lane Southeast valued at $29,634.
  • A building permit for the remodeling of a building in the 1800 block of Country Club Drive Northeast valued at $32,650.

Including the June approvals, Willmar has issued a total of $45,327,075 so far in 2024.
