Jax Taylor is unsure about reconciliation with Brittany Cartwright
The Stars of The Valley Jax Taylor And Brittany Cartwright announced their separation almost five months ago. At the time, they made it clear that they simply needed some time and distance from each other.
Britt ended the relationship in late February when she had enough of Jax’s constant verbal and psychological abuse. She was tired of his yelling and never-ending criticism.
Since then, the former Vanderpump Rules members have had plenty of time to think about the future of their marriage. Do they want to stay together to raise their three-year-old son Cruz? Do they even want to get married? Apparently, a lot of things in their relationship are still uncertain.
Things are “confusing”
Although they have been separated for months, Jax and Britt are still legally married. “Brittany and I are separated and we’re trying to work that out right now,” Jax told TMZ. “I’m not together or anything, so, I don’t know, it’s confusing.” He also added that he “doesn’t know” if a reconciliation would happen.
“I really miss my family because I’ve been away for the last 12 days,” he said.
On July 11, the couple reunited at Jax’s birthday party. Britt attended the party, although Jax still claims the situation is “confusing.”
Jax and Britt still spend time together
Although Brittany has reiterated that she and Jax are “still very separate,” they continue to spend time together for the sake of their son. They both feel it’s important that their son has two parents who spend time with him as a family.
“People ask me all the time…’If you’re separated, why are you still seeing each other?'” Jax said. “Because that’s what works, and we’re trying to exhaust everything else before we decide to break up. We’re trying to live separately, we’re trying to possibly see other people, (and) we’re trying to figure out what works for us.”
Although Britt still lives in an Airbnb, she sometimes stays at the house she and Jax still own together. “We still like to do family things together,” she explained. “I know it seems really weird, but you know, there are days where we fight really hard and we can’t even see each other. So it’s very weird and up and down.”
The Valley is now streaming on Peacock.
