Hollywood actress admits she never uses deodorant – just like her famous co-star

Kate Hudson has dropped the bombshell and announced that, just like her famous co-star, she is no longer wearing deodorant.

The Hollywood beauty is all-natural, just like her “Fool’s Gold” co-star Matthew McConaughey. The 45-year-old actress spilled the beans on an episode of “Watch What Happens Live,” revealing that she and Matthew both prefer to go all-natural when it comes to body scent.

She revealed the details, saying, “No! He doesn’t use deodorant. And neither do I, for that matter… We’re all natural, you know?”

Kate also mentioned that Matthew’s natural scent was unmistakable while filming together: “My thing was that I could smell him from a mile away because we were so close.”

Matthew himself is no stranger to this revelation, having previously confessed to Maxim magazine his aversion to artificial fragrances: “I just never wore it. No cologne, no deodorant. The women in my life, including my mother, have all said, ‘Hey, your natural smell smells like a man, first of all, and you, second of all.'”

In a candid conversation with Playboy, Matthew recounted how Kate brought a natural deodorant to the set and urged him to use it: “She always brings a salt brick, which is a kind of natural deodorant, and says, ‘Could you please put this on?’ I just never wore it. No cologne, no deodorant.”

Although he doesn’t use deodorant, Matthew insists he doesn’t skimp on cleanliness: he says he showers several times a day and brushes his teeth up to five times.

Even Yvette Nicole Brown, who starred alongside Matthew in Tropic Thunder, vouched for him, saying that despite his decision to forgo deodorant, he did not smell unpleasant.

In a 2021 episode of SiriusXM’s “The Jess Cagle Show,” she revealed about the actor: “I remember Matthew McConaughey saying he doesn’t use deodorant and he doesn’t have a smell. So my first thought was, ‘I’m going to get as close to him as I can to see if he’s right.'”

“He has no odor of his own. He smells like cereal and good life. He has a sweet, sweet scent that just suits him, and he’s not musty or crazy.”
