Lee Greenwood is “a wonderful man,” Trump said during his keynote speech on Thursday night. Greenwood has been a close ally of Trump over the years and sang three times at the RNC this week, twice to introduce Trump. On the first day, Greenwood sang as Trump left the hall for his first appearance since the assassination on Saturday. And on the fourth day, Greenwood sang “God Bless the USA” again before Trump gave his speech accepting the Republican nomination for president.
