At the Mountain Club, a new exclusive enclave in Cabo San Lucas

Cabos San Lucas is known as one of Mexico’s hottest vacation spots, as it offers views of the calm waves of Playa El Medano and the granite rock formations at Land’s End. An exclusive new enclave called The Mountain Club in one of the city’s most prestigious mountain communities allows you to extend your stay at the luxurious Baja residences. Located on the hills of Pedregal, also known as the “Hollywood Hills of Cabo,” The Mountain Club is integrated into the landscape, offering privacy and unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean. Its limited selection of homes includes the two- to four-bedroom Costas Villas, which range from 3,600 to 6,000 square feet. The Estate Homes, on the other hand, feature up to five bedrooms in nearly 10,000 square feet. All that private space is great, but it’s the surreal beach and canyon views that will make you feel like a character in HBO’s white lotus.

Alonso de Garay of Taller ADG, a renowned architecture firm based in Mexico City, is responsible for the straightforward design of the homes and the private on-site club. On the exclusive El Rincon estate, owners will find the duplex-style Costa Villas, which cascade down into the ravine and feature five-star master bedrooms, en-suite bathrooms and spacious terraces with fire pits and plunge pools. Shaded pool decks and outdoor dining areas also make them ideal for entertaining guests.

Alternatively, the Estate Homes are each unique and three stories high and come in a range of dimensions. In addition to panoramic views, these buildings offer amenities such as outdoor showers, hot tubs, courtyards and up to four parking spaces. “In every detail of the Mountain Club residences, you’ll find a commitment to design that embraces the human experience and is influenced by the mountainside coastal setting,” says de Garay in a statement. Other on-site amenities also match this sensitive sense of connection.

Residents and guests can mingle at a community pool overlooking the ocean, while the Gulf of California Beach Club offers water activities tailored to residents’ needs. The Spa Café & Juice Bar provides refreshment on poolside lounge chairs, and the Mountain Club’s premier restaurant, Fénix, caters to both residents and the general public, serving fresh seafood and flame-grilled food alongside signature cocktails. To burn calories, head to the health club with yoga terrace, sauna and steam room, and the Spa & Salon by Manoma.

Sales of Costa Villa and Estate Homes at The Mountain Club will begin in fall 2024. Villas will cost over $1 million, while larger estates are expected to be available for just under $3 million. The agency will handle the sale and marketing of the property.
