Manchester United are in “advanced” talks with West Ham about selling Aaron Wan-Bissaka to the London club.

Wan-Bissaka has failed to impress since his £45m move from Crystal Palace to Manchester United in 2019 and is eligible to leave the club this summer after losing his place as first choice to Diogo Dalot.

West Ham are interested in signing the 26-year-old and talkSPORT reports that negotiations are progressing over a potential transfer to the capital for £18 million. The deal would see Wan-Bissaka return to London after rising up the career ladder at Crystal Palace before moving to Old Trafford.

Wan-Bissaka’s departure would free up money for the Red Devils to continue their recruitment drive under Erik ten Hag this summer. United have signed Joshua Zirkzee for £35m from Bologna, while Lille teenager Leny Yoro is in the UK to complete his £52m transfer from the Ligue 1 side.

United remain keen to sign another centre-back alongside Yoro and have been in talks with Bayern Munich over Matthijs de Ligt, but the £45m price tag has stalled the deal and the Premier League club are hoping to raise further funds to complete the transfer.

Mason Greenwood is close to a £25.2m move to Marseille after undergoing a medical with the French side. Fulham have expressed interest in signing Scott McTominay, having had an initial offer for the Scottish midfielder rejected.
