Zayn Malik is not sure if he was in love

Zayn Malik doesn’t know if he was “really in love.”
The 31-year-old singer was previously engaged to Perrie Edwards and has a three-year-old daughter, Khai, with his former partner Gigi Hadid. However, he is unclear about the true depth of his feelings in his previous relationships.
On the “Zach Sang Show” he admitted: “I don’t know if I’ve ever really been in love at that point.”
Zayn has “moved on” since his split from Gigi in October 2021, but their breakup influenced a number of tracks on his new album, Room Under the Stairs.
He said of the record: “The first song I wrote on the record was ‘Alienated’ and it was towards the end of my relationship. When me and my ex split up.
“So there is a detailed description of the things I went through mentally in that situation, what I was thinking and how I felt.”
And about the song “How It Feels,” he added: “I think in this song I’m talking specifically about not being able to explain to the person you’re in love with why you can’t necessarily be the best version of the partner you want to be. And that’s really sad.”
Although little Khai is already showing signs of her musical talent, the former One Direction star believes she inherited it not from him but from her model mother.
He said: “She can play a little bit. She’s not at an expert level, but she has a bit of rhythm when she hits the drums. I can tell she can definitely develop that into something.
“Her mom was actually really good at the drums on Guitar Hero. I thought, ‘Maybe she got it from her mom.’ Because I was really good at it and G was always beating me. I always thought, ‘What the hell. I’m the musician and she’s beating me at this game.’ But Khai can do that too.”
