Bryant Athletics unveils enhanced Black & Gold Club experience

Smithfield, Rhode Island – The Bryant University Department of Athletics and Recreation is proud to announce the revitalization of its esteemed booster club and official fundraising arm, the Black & Gold Club, under a new name designed to enhance the donor experience and encourage greater engagement with the university’s athletic community.

The newly renamed Black & Gold Club promises enhanced member benefits and a range of giving tiers designed to recognize and celebrate the generous contributions of its annual donors to Bryant Athletics. Guided by Bryant’s strategic plan, Vision 2030, this expanded initiative underscores the university’s commitment to innovation and championship excellence in the classroom and in competition, and fosters a culture of pride and support that extends across all of its diverse athletic programs.

“We are thrilled to reinstate the Black & Gold Club as part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen relationships with our valued donors,” said Bill Smith, vice president of athletics and recreation. “This contemporary rebranding and redesigned benefits program represents an important milestone in our commitment to provide unparalleled experiences for our annual Black & Gold Club members while ensuring their philanthropy strengthens our evolving Division I athletics program in a new landscape and era of intercollegiate competition.”

Key features of the redesigned Black & Gold Club, which will come into effect from the 2024-25 season, include:

• Extended donation amounts: Donors can now choose from a variety of giving tiers tailored to their philanthropic goals, each offering exclusive benefits and recognition opportunities. This new format will allow Bryant Athletics to remain competitive at the highest levels of collegiate sports locally, regionally and nationally.
• Extended member benefits: Annual Members enjoy year-round engagement through access to premium seating, parking and hospitality areas, unique events such as exclusive meet-and-greets with coaches and student-athletes, behind-the-scenes tours of the facilities and special recognition at games and events.
• Personalized management: In recognition of their generosity, donors receive personalized support, including regular updates on the impact of their contributions, consideration for home and away games with our teams, and more.

In addition to these benefits, Black & Gold Club members have the peace of mind knowing their donations directly contribute to the success of over 700 student-athletes competing in all 25 sports. These funds will continue to help improve state-of-the-art facilities, achieve sport-specific priorities such as recruiting, strength and conditioning, nutrition, player development and equipment, and provide other strategic resources necessary to operate a nationally competitive program and enable all Bulldogs to experience success.

Black & Gold Club membership begins with a $125 donation to any Bryant Athletics annual fund (e.g., Black & Gold General Athletics, Collegiate/Club Athletics, Sports Performance, or a combination of funds).
