Singer Adele announces “big breakthrough” in music

Adele has announced that she would like to take a longer break from music after her current concert series. BBC reported.

“My tank is pretty empty at the moment,” the star told German broadcaster ZDF before a ten-day appearance in Munich.

“I have no plans for new music at all,” she said.

“After all this, I want to take a big break and I think I want to do other creative things for a short while.

“You know, I don’t sing at all at home. How weird is that?”

The star’s latest album was released in 2021 and she has since spent two years playing weekends in Las Vegas, recently wrapping up her 90th show at the 4,000-seat Caesar’s Palace. The show ends in November and Adele mentioned that the experience has been emotionally exhausting.

“Even though the crowd was very small, it was a really emotional exchange,” said the British singer.

“I’m sure I’ll feel that way more every night after the shows in Munich. But it’s a positive thing. It’s just such an exchange of energy.”

In June, Adele angrily rebuked an audience member who allegedly shouted “Pride sucks” during one of her shows. “Did you come to my… show and just say Pride sucks?” she ranted. “Don’t be so… ridiculous.”

“If you don’t have anything nice to say, shut up, okay?”

When asked about the incident, the star admitted that she was easily upset. “Everything makes me angry,” she told ZDF. “Just everything.”

“I am 36 years old. I am old and grumpy now.”

Their Munich shows will be on a completely different scale compared to their performance in Las Vegas: 74,000 fans are expected each evening in a specially constructed “pop-up” stadium.

Adele’s latest album is called “30” and was released in November 2021. It topped the UK and US charts and became the best-selling album of the year in the US after just one day of sales, the Guardian reported.
